Mountain Ministries is a non-denominational church.
Our focused goal is to restore lives that are being destroyed by substance abuse by providing a 1-2 year, residential recovery/descipleship program targeting men and women with drug and alcohol addictions.
Our priority is to minister to those who come into the Recovery/Discipleship Program. We are not trying to compete with other churches; we will join with the rest of the Churchs in Cowlitz County to show our support for the Body of Christ. We exist as a Church to support the people who come to this 1-2 year long residential program and are being delivered from their addictions.
This transformation will begin with the establishment of a healthy relationship, first, with Jesus Christ, and then with society at large. We believe that only as a person is set free of their destructive addictions can they break negative habits and relationships. This work is accomplished in cooperation with the power of God and is an ongoing process. We expect that after a year at Mountain Ministries Ranch, and Mountain Ministries Lifeskills Training Center for Women and Children, residents will be able to return to society as productive, healthy citizens.
Mountain Ministries Ranch is located on 35 acres, 11 miles out Rose Valley Rd in Kelso, Washington. It is surrounded mostly by timber land. The Lifeskills Training Center for Women and Children is presently located on the Executive Director's 5 acre homesite on the Coweeman River at the foot of the Mountain. We have been given the Old Rainier Middle School Building in Rainier, Oregon that will one day be the home for the Women and Children's Program.
At the present time we do not have facilities big enough to provide an opportunity for both the Men's Program and Women's Program to join together and hold traditional Sunday Morning Worship. We are a part of the Shiloh Christian Fellowship that meets Sunday Morning and The Church of Truth that meets Sunday Evening.
