The Ranch is located on 35 acres, 11 miles out Rose Valley Rd. It is surrounded mostly by timber land. Mountain Ministries is a Christian, 1-year, residential recovery/descipleship program targeting men and women with drug and alcohol addictions. (All drugs, including tobacco, are prohibited for the entire year, even on passes.) The only exceptions are headache medicines such as Aspirin, Excedrin which will be dispensed by staff. Any medication prescribed by a physician is also dispensed by staff. We do allow caffeinated coffee.
Week days include breakfast, Bible study, chores and community work or work on the 35 acres at the center. Mountain Ministries does not charge the community for work that we do. People can make donations if they choose. Community service includes moving people, yard work, painting, etc.
We go to different churches in the area for worship and teaching times as an expression of our unity as the Body of Christ.

At the end of the year of successful participation and recovery, residents graduate from PHASE 1. For those who do not have a job and family to support them, they stay at the center until they establish a safe environment to live in and a job to support them.
PHASE 2 begins for those who don't have an adequate support system and/or need to find employment and housing in a safe area of the community. This provides the men time to find jobs and save enough money to establish housing outside known drug areas of town.
PHASE 3 is the JOSIAH HOUSE, located in Kelso. This is for those who want a safe living environment, and have a job that enables them to pay rent.
All staff at Mountain Ministries is voluntary and unpaid. For all our income we depend entirely on God. All of us at Mountain Ministries know it takes a miracle for us to have the finances necessary to operate on a monthly basis. God has provided for our every need and even many of our wants from the day we opened.
We don't charge for the community work we perform. Originally there were no churches supporting us, but now several send us monthly support. Most of our income still comes in the form of checks from individuals who God has laid on their hearts to support us. We never know from month to month who will send us a check. Many times these check come from people we don't even know. The good part of all of this is that we can truly say God is our provider and He gets all the credit. All of us at Mountain Ministries know if God isn't in this we will know immediately.
